Blue Mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum) is a vigorous perennial that thrives in moist, loamy soils and adapts well to both sand and clay. Preferring medium water use, it flourishes in full sun to part shade. Its fluffy, bright blue or violet flowers bloom from July through November, creating an attractive display for late-season pollinators. However, it spreads rapidly and can become invasive, making it best suited for areas where it can naturalize freely, such as along stream banks or in wet meadows. Blue Mistflower is excellent for attracting bees, butterflies, and even birds.
