Prickly Pear 'Old Mexico'

Opuntia ‘Old Mexico’ is a spineless selection of Opuntia gomei, a native cactus found in the southernmost coast of Texas and into Tamaulipas, Mexico. This cultivar, named after Helen Wynans, is valued for its attractive, wavy-edged pads and bright yellow blooms. It is well-suited for both full sun and partial shade, demonstrating excellent heat and drought tolerance.
